Dr. Terry Hall from Kansas City provides this feedback;
“As you may be aware bra manufacturers do not seem to be able to agree what a B, C or D cup actually is as it varies among them. Once you have decided on the look that you are wanting your surgeon should be able to estimate the correct size and style of implant best for you. I say estimate because I find the only accurate way to select the exact implant is when I use a temporary sizer in the operating room.
As a guess from the information given I would estimate a 300cc moderate profile implant. But do not put much value on that until you have had an examination.”
Dr. Tom Pousti from San Diego has these comments to make;
“Unfortunately, there is no direct correlation between the size of breast implants and the resulting cup size.
In planning your breast augmentation procedure it will be very important to communicate your size goals with your surgeon. in my practice I find the use of goal pictures to be very helpful. in your case you could use your own before breast-feeding pictures as the goal. I have found that the use of words such as “natural” or “C cup” or “fake looking” or “top heavy” means different things to different people and therefore prove unhelpful.
Also, as you know, cup size varies depending on who makes the bra; therefore, discussing desired cup size may also be inaccurate.”
Since she is very petite there are two keys when determining what silicone breast implant size is best for me? There are a limited number of sizes of silicon breast implants it would fit her body. The second key point is that the diameter of the breast implant must be smaller than the diameter of the breast.
